A message from Club Chairman – David South

We at Holcombe Hockey Club are rightly proud of both the playing side of the club and our excellent facilities. In only seven short years all eighteen senior sides have been promoted so that the men’s first eleven is now an established National League team and the ladies first eleven are only one promotion from the same achievement.  

If you are reading this you may wish to start playing hockey, you may play hockey already and be interested in our club, or you may already be a member.  In any case, you will always be made to feel at home within Holcombe Park.  Our club vision is to provide a home for hockey and all of our mission statements drive that vision forward.

With the mens 1 XI aiming for National Premier League and ladies 1 XI aiming towards National League next season they will come up against some tough opposition.  Our 1 XI players are committed to the performance of each side and the club is firmly behind their Premier League aspirations.  

With 13 mens teams, ensuring each side has a full compliment takes some dedicated individuals.  The teams compete within the South and Kent leagues.  Our ladies top three sides all gained promotion last season, and now our seconds to fifths range from Kent Premier to Division 6. 

There is great opportunity for new players to find their appropriate playing level and enjoy competitive hockey at the weekend.  A close eye is kept on established players to ensure those that are demonstrating good potential are recognised.

The junior section continues to grow from strength to strength and we have now added a Boys U18 team and Girls U16 team to compete in the Kent leagues this year.
